An old, smaller in-ground pond replaced with a koi pond about 1.2m deep, with two viewing windows, slate coping and a filter room.

Here’s a pond completed in autumn 2023, for a repeat customer in Bexhill. We dug out the old, smaller in-ground pond and went for the full monty: approximately 1.2 metres deep, with two viewing windows.

The area was dug out and a 150mm C35 concrete pad laid on compacted hardcore with mesh, around the pipework and bottom drains. The blockwork was built, then finished with Brazilian slate coping stones and split-face tiles all round.

The filter room has a rubber roof opening on gas struts, and double doors with composite cladding. The glass windows and fibreglass were completed by Wizard of Pondz (opens in a new tab).
